HELP of Door County depends on the generous financial support of hundreds of people each year to fulfill our mission of serving people in need. There are more families in crisis, victims of abuse, kids at-risk, and people in need than most of us can imagine. We are proud that 85 cents of every dollar that HELP receives annually goes into direct programs and support services.
Four funds were established to help support our efforts:
The Direct Programs and Services Fund...
...supports programs conducted by staff members at the main office in Sturgeon Bay and at a Northern Door satellite office. The fund makes it possible for us to answer calls to the HELPline and work directly with Door County families.
The Victims Assistance Fund...
...assisted over 430 victims of abuse and families in crisis in one year. Gifts to the Victims Assistance Fund help people with the basics of gaining safety and self-sufficiency including security deposits, legal fees, kids clothing, furniture, etc.
The Transitional Living Program Fund...
...helps victims of abuse and their children heal, rebuild their lives, and make it through often lengthy legal proceedings.
The Endowment Fund...
...provides permanent support for HELP's programs and services. We offer donors three different funds to choose from, depending on the level of security and/or return they desire and whether they want the fund to recognize their contribution. Our most highly restricted funds are managed within the Door County Community Foundation.
HELP of Door County, Inc. is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization. All gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. We are able to accept gifts of appreciated securities, bequests, and funds invested as living trusts.
Planned Gifts of Giving...
Please consider a planned gift of giving to benefit HELP of Door County, Inc.
Planned gifts of giving include gifts of cash, stock or property. A planned gift is naming HELP in a will or as the beneficiary of a retirement plan. A planned gift could also be the remainder of an estate when other specific bequests have been fulfilled. Gifts can be held in a trust benefiting family members during their lives with the principle transferred to HELP at the time of their passing. Would you please assist us creating a sustaining level of funding for years to come by considering a planned gift of giving?
On behalf of those we serve, we thank you for your consideration!
